The McGlynn Builders Club recently held their second annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Builders Club members asked McGlynn Middle School students to bring in canned and packaged food items to be donated to the Community Cupboard Food Pantry in Medford. The club managed to collect more than 500 canned and packaged food items, which is more than double the amount of items they were able to donate last year!
Club president Kathleen Campbell said that “it’s very encouraging to see this food drive grow by so much this year. Everyone really came together to help families during the holiday season. The Builders Club is just happy to help to bring this together!”
The McGlynn Builders Club is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Medford. The club’s Co-Advisers are Sean McGillicuddy and Dave Kuzmicz. Along with clubs at the Andrews and St. Joseph’s middle schools, the Medford Builders Club is one of the largest chapters in New England.
