Featuring Dr. Ruth Potee
Dr. Potee will discuss how the development of the teen brain and brain chemistry impacts teenage risk taking behaviors including alcohol and substance use. She provides realistic guidance for raising healthy teens in today’s society.
Dr. Potee is a graduate of Wellesley College, Mount Holyoke College and Yale University School of Medicine. She serves as a Family Physician with the Valley Medical Group, in Greenfield, Massachusetts. She provides a full scope of family medicine with special interests in women’s health, pediatrics, and addiction treatment. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Potee serves as the Co-Chair for Healthcare Solutions of the Opioid Task Force of Franklin County & North Quabbin. She is also the school physician for the Pioneer Valley Regional School District, and the Medical Director for the Franklin County House of Corrections.
