Transportation route adjustments (to remedy overcrowding and late arrival times)- see yellow highlights on schedule below. Changes begin Monday, September 21, 2015.

  1. Please be 10 minutes early to your morning pickup location. Buses tend to run a little behind the first days of school and will settle into a timely routine in 2-3 weeks.
  2. Afternoon runs tend to run behind as well the first 2-3 weeks.
  3. Be respectful of the personal property that abuts the bus stop.
  4. No “boom boxes” will be allowed on the buses.
  5. If transporting musical instruments on the bus, check with the driver as to where they should be placed. Space is tight as each bus has a large number of riders.
  6. Bus riders in grades kindergarten through second grade must be met by a parent/guardian/or designated other. If not, they will be returned to school and must be picked up there.
  7. Bus riders in grades kindergarten through second grade will be provided (at school) a bus tag that must remain on their backpack for the duration of the school year.
  8. Please see your school’s handbook for bus riding rules.

Questions? Please email transportation@medford.k12.ma.us.

Thank you!

Harvest Your Energy
The Harvest Your Energy Festival is an annual event organized by the City of Medford’s Office of Energy and Environment to raise awareness of energy and environmental topics relevant to our area.  Each year it is held at the base of Medford’s wind turbine, behind the McGlynn School.  We have a great mix of businesses, non-profit groups and local organizations hosting tables.  This year we will have the addition of food from Yoki Japanese Restaurant, Simple Fare and Scoopsies ice cream!
We can still add tables from teachers, student groups and schools. At this time there are Science Classes from the McGlynn, the McGlynn PTO & National Honor Society collecting fabric recycling along with the Environmental Club from Medford High.  We’re happy to have more, please let me know as soon as possible.
More information about the event can be found on our webpage: http://medfordenergy.org/harvestyourenergy  and our Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/385238361664784/
